Volunteers are integral to our organization.
Volunteers assist with multiple tasks including cleaning of rehabilitation enclosures, washing dishes, laundry, patient feeding, animal releases, education, general maintenance, special events and more!
Requirements for Volunteering:
- 18 years of age or older
- Commit to one shift (anywhere from 3 – 5 hours) a week
- Available for a minimum of three months
- Will commit to clear communications
- Willing to clean
Preference is given to those who are consistently available throughout the year
Steps to become a Volunteer:
- Complete and submit a volunteer application online.
- A center staff member will be in touch to schedule an in person interview.
- If we agree you’re a good fit, we will be in touch to schedule your orientation date.
- Begin volunteering. The first 4 weeks are considered your training period and must be consecutive.
- Honor your commitment by volunteering one shift per week for at least the first 3 months. (This includes the training period).
- Enjoy giving back and the realization that YOU are making a difference for our wildlife!
